What happens in a BollyWien class?
For the next 60 minutes, this time is yours. To move. To play. To express. Enjoy your body. Be in the moment.
Warm up · 10 minutes. Wake up the body. Loosen up. Get moving.
Learn · 10 minutes. Bollywood dance draws from Indian classical and folk dance, jazz, contemporary dance and more. We start by learning one movement.
Play · 10 minutes. Each class brings a small experiment: dance the same step with wonder, anger or a partner. Explore emotion, rhythm and space. The same step, your expression.
Choreography · 25 minutes. Learn the choreography. Feel the music. Enjoy the dancing.
Cool down · 5 minutes. Breathe. Stretch. Release.

This month at BollyWien
November at BollyWien: Kashmir ❄️
This month, we step into the world of Bumbro: a celebratory, folk-inspired song from Mission Kashmir. The song invites us to play with rhythm, character and ensemble interaction.
Our choreography explores character-building through movement. Some dancers take on the role of the bumblebee ( the Bumbro 😊), while others become the flowers it searches for. By using gesture and expression, we create a playful exchange.
We’re also experimenting with seated dance vocabulary: How can the body move, shift weight and create expression when we’re closer to the floor? How does that change our relationship with space and balance?
November also falls in Kashmir's saffron-harvest season, when Pampore’s fields turn purple and the region celebrates one of its most distinctive crops. That seasonal landscape gives us a beautiful cultural backdrop for the month.
Before class
Come as you are.
Is the class suitable for beginners?
Yes. All ability levels are welcome, including complete beginners. Pranali builds technique, expression and musicality step by step.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable clothing such as track pants and a T-shirt. Bring water and a small towel or napkin.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive at least ten minutes early. Changing facilities are available at the venue.
How do the passes work?
The Monthly Flex Pass covers only your selected month and never renews automatically. The Semester Pass covers all published semester sessions. Ordinary missed classes are non-refundable under the booking terms.
