Across screen and stage

She holds a Diploma in Acting from the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute in Mumbai and has worked in films, television, theatre and advertising across India and Europe.

Movement as a lifelong practice

Dance has been a part of her life from an early age. Captivated by the energy and expression of Bollywood dance as a child, she was already performing on stage by the age of seven. At school, she was introduced to Mohiniyattam, giving her an early experience of Indian classical dance and movement.

Her passion for dance developed into more than a decade of training across different forms. She trained for four years at Shiamak Davar’s Institute for the Performing Arts in Pune, with a primary focus on Bollywood dance alongside Jazz and Modern dance. She later expanded her movement vocabulary through Contemporary dance training at SPACE Studio and Center of Contemporary Dance in Pune as well as at international dance retreats.

Teaching, choreography and cultural exchange

After years of training, she moved into teaching and spent approximately three years teaching Bollywood and Contemporary dance at SPACE Studio and Infant Jesus School in Pune. Her dance experience has continued to intersect with her work as an actor in Europe. In 2025, she performed in a production at Sommernachtskomödie Rosenburg in Austria, where she also choreographed and taught the Bollywood dance sequences. For the predominantly German-language production, she wrote the Hindi dialogue for all characters and coached the cast in Hindi diction and pronunciation. Bringing together acting, choreography, language and cultural knowledge, the production became a unique meeting point of several facets of her artistic work.

Voice and live music

Music and voice form another dimension of her work as a performer. She trained for four years in Hindustani classical vocal music under the guidance of Mr. Sudhakar Chavan, following the curriculum of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai. She later worked as a voice artist for Pocket FM in India and, in recent years, has expanded into professional live singing as one of the lead vocalists of the Vienna-based band Vayu. With the band, she has performed in cities across Europe, including Prague, Munich, Bratislava, Graz, Kitzbühel and Villach.

With a background spanning acting, dance and voice, Pranali draws on different performance traditions and cultural influences in her work, bringing together storytelling, movement and music as interconnected forms of expression.
