A group of British senior citizens travels to India for different reasons and arrives at the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel in Jaipur. The promised luxury is nowhere to be found, but as their lives begin to intertwine, the hotel and its joyful chaos offer unexpected second chances. The fast-paced culture-clash comedy brings old assumptions face to face with openness, improvisation and the possibility of beginning again.
Stage and movement
From April to August 2025, I joined Sommernachtskomödie Rosenburg as an actor and dance choreographer. This engagement brought my screen, theatre and movement practice together in an Austrian summer production.
Choreography, language and ensemble work
I choreographed this dance and other Bollywood sequences for the production. The performers were new to Indian languages and dance, so over three months I taught them the choreography as well as the pronunciation of the Hindi words used on stage. I also wrote the Hindi dialogues embedded in the German-language play. Bringing choreography, language coaching and performance together made this project a particularly meaningful cultural exchange for me.
