In Parts 2 and 3 of this three-part web series, I played Abhisarika, also known as Chandani. The films let me return to the same woman at different turning points and explore the distance between how society labels her and how she understands her own dignity, choices and future. The two published chapters have together reached well over seven million views.

Part 3 · My First Interview

Abhisarika arrives for her first job interview and meets another woman who shares her name but comes from a very different social world. As their conversation unfolds, it gradually reveals the assumptions, identities, and class divisions that separate them. Through this encounter, the film explores intersectionality and the layered forms of oppression that shape their experiences.
